Our Wonderful Staff

We are very proud to have such a knowledgeable and talented group of staff at the Pittsworth Veterinary Surgery. The Vets here all graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland, while our nurses have completed various certificates in their fields. Everyone is committed to providing high quality veterinary care, and regularly undertake continued education, such as seminars and conferences, to better the information and service available to clients.

Dr Stephen Fogarty BVSc

Stephen graduated from UQ with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, and a Masters in Agriculture in 1986. He has worked in various mixed practice rolls around Australia before opening the Pittsworth Vet Surgery. Stephen is accredited for Bull testing and Cattle Pregnancy Testing through the Australian Cattle Vets. He lives in town with his wife, Kate, boys Patrick and Tim and the families His labrador Alfred also happens to be our favourite clinic blood donor.

Megan

Megan started with us fresh out of Uni as a New Grad in 2007. She's had some small breaks over the years to have her lovely children, Cooper and Oliver and tried out Western Australian life! Fortunately for us, Pittsworth was just too hard to leave and she came back to work part time. Megan's veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery and cattle work. She lives with her husband, Dave, 2 boys and has 3 dogs, Angel, Heidi and Bodette.

Ruth

Ruth finished her vet degree in 1997 and works with us part-time. Since graduating she has worked around Toowoomba in small animal practices. She has always been passionate about the well-being of all animals and decided she wanted to be a vet as a young child.

Rosie

Rosie started with us as a New Grad, fresh out of Uni in early 2016. Rosie grew up in Roma & has had a passion for animals since a child. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses & helping her husband Jordan manage their herd of cattle. She is a proud mum to an English Staffy named Tilly & Golden Retriever Ben. Rosie is soon to go on maternity leave at the end of the year to have their first child. Goodluck Rosie and Jordan!

sandy

Sandy is our practice manager at the clinic and has been here since early 2007. She grew up in the Barossa Valley on her families property, before moving up to the good country in 2006. She has a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, and has extensive nursing experience. She lives in Athol with her husband Paul. She has Winnie, the Smithfield Cattle dog, who loves to come visit us at the clinic.

Jeanett Caird

Jeanett works as a part-time veterinary nurse and has been with us since 2013. She has a special interest in animal welfare, and has many years of experience with animals. Outside work she enjoys her gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Jeanett lives on a property near Mt Tyson with an array of animals.

Emma Greer

Emma is veterinary nurse here at the clinic, graduating from University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology. She enjoys surgical nursing and large animal practice in particular. She lives at Felton with her lovely Angus cows, her dogs Boof, Cedric and Chase and her cat, Mufasa- and not to forget her husband Nathan! Emma has recently become the proud mum of little Henry who we know will become well know around the clinic as he visits us often!

Gina began work with us in early 2007 with a short break to pursue other adventures. During her time here she's completed her Cert 2 in Companion Animal Services and Cert 4 in Veterinary Nursing. She lives on small acreage near Pittsworth with her husband, Jason and a menagerie of pet animals.

Kyra Harrison

Kyra is one of our dedicated nurses. She began working with us beginning of 2019 and has a passion for wildlife. Currently studying her certificate 4 in veterinary nursing, she is a great addition to the team. Kyra has a wealth of knowledge in wildlife and has her own exotic birds, turtles, cat/dog and a horse.

Dr Stacey Crawford BVSc

Stacey has recently joined our team of vets in November 2019. Stacey graduated from UQ Gatton in 2017 and has been working out at Chincilla. Stacey has a keen interest in large animals and wildlife and enjoys riding horses and hanging out with her husband Brad. Stacey helps her parents out quite a lot at their property at Kingaroy. Stacey and Brad have a blossoming tribe of pets; 3 Border Collies, 1 cat, 13 horses and 1 guinea fowl Simon. We look forward to having her work with us.
