Here at Pittsworth we have many veterinary and veterinary nursing students come through as we believe it is important to always encourage the next generation of professionals. Veterinary students tend to come to the clinic for mixed animal practical work as we do have a large percentage of large animal work so it is important to come prepared for this; overalls and boots are required. It can be very cold here in winter so definitely don't hold back on warm clothing and blankets. If you are interested in doing practical work here, please contact the clinic well in advance as spots can fill up quickly.
Meet Sierra Caldwell- 5th year UQ Student- with her dog Gemma. Sierra was with us in November 2019 after a previous stint in March 2019.
Sierra wrote ' One of the best rural vet practices I've been to with the best country values and patient care. They allowed me many opportunities to learn and practice skills required for general practice. I will miss them'.
Sierra was great to have around. Very helpful, bubbly and keen to get in and try whatever we threw at her. We wish her all the best for the future.
